IM call center to employ 60
Iron Mountain to be third U.P. location

IRON MOUNTAIN — Through a joint effort of Cable Constructors Inc. and the Dickinson Area Partnership, a Virginia-based market research firm, Issues and Answers will be opening a call center in Iron Mountain.
Bruce Orttenburger, Partnership president, indicates that Issues and Answers will be leasing space in CCI’s corporate headquarters for their operation.
It is anticipated that the call center will provide jobs for 60 employees, Orttenburger said in a news release. Cable Constructors Inc. owns more than 75,000 square feet of premium office space and 50,000 square feet of warehouse space in the area.

“CCI is pleased to participate in promoting new business development by making available excess space to a welcomed partner such as I&A, and looks forward to a long prosperous relationship with them,” noted Joe Smith, director of CCI Networks Division.Issues and Answers will also be opening a facility in Houghton, in addition to their current location in Escanaba, Orttenburger said.
Issues and Answers, with corporate headquarters in Virginia Beach, Va., began 18 years ago, as a small company with three full-time staff and a handful of part-time interviewers.
They have grown to include more than 50 full-time and almost 400 part-time employees.
Three call centers are now in operation, and the firm is excited to be opening two more call centers in the Upper Peninsula, Orttenburger said.
“We are excited about opening two new facilities in Michigan, especially with the success we have enjoyed with our facility and the great work ethic displayed by those in our Escanaba location,” said Peter McGuinness, president of Issues and Answers.
Issues and Answers is involved in a variety of different types of marketing research, including conducting political polls, customer satisfaction polls, surveys for most major industries among consumers, professionals and business people.
The company also has 15 alliance partners around the world and conducts marketing research in more than 40 countries.
Issues and Answers also conducts qualitative marketing research using focus groups, as well as telephone surveys, and conducting polls via the web
